Join us for an afternoon with local author and shepherd Barbara McLean as she talks about her book Shepherd’s Sight: A Farming Life.

Barbara has spent decades tending sheep on her Grey County farm, and brings that experience to life in Shepherd’s Sight, which follows a full year on the farm, month by month. A former lecturer in English Literature and Gender Studies, she has published essays, reviews, and poetry,  and farming books.
A handspinner and weaver, she lives in Grey County where she continues to raise her flock of Border Leicester sheep.

Barbara will read from the book and share stories from her life raising sheep for fibre in Ontario, along with insights into wool, farming, and the rhythms of rural life.

A great event for readers, fans of natural fibres, and anyone curious about farming close to home.
