About BayValley Artists
BayValley Artists, formerly called Marsh Street Artists was founded in September 2004 by Nancy Jackson and Mary Ann Morgan. Passionate about the local art scene, Jackson and Morgan envisioned the group as a support network for local artists and their artistic journeys. Sessions were originally held at Clarksburg’s Marsh Street Community Centre, and over the years, they have appeared in many exhibitions, including at the L.E. Shore Library, Meaford Hall, and Owen Sound Co-op.
BayValley Artists are a vibrant and supportive community, with newcomers warmly welcome. They meet every Tuesday, from September to May, 9:00am to 5:00pm, at the Craigleith Community Centre. Membership is $30 for the year, and weekly stipend is $15.00. The group also encourages members’ growth in skill and ability, hosting monthly educational workshops led by notable Canadian artists.
