College or University Co-op/Intern
Are you a college or university student looking for co-op or internship opportunities? The library’s a great place for you to build your skills and get professional experiences. We’ll work with you and your coordinator to provide relevant professional experience for your field of choice. We’ve worked with students invested in fields of: administration, business & entrepreneurship, education, arts & culture, marketing & design, and more.
Content Creator
Do you enjoy taking photos with a DSLR or your smartphone? Do you enjoy creating social media posts with those photos? We’re looking for volunteers who like to take snapshots when we’re doing programs, events and outreach.
Event Volunteer
We have big plans in the works! These big events need volunteers with a variety of skills from great customer service, to helping people find their way through the event, to taking photos of others having a blast.
Library Champion
Are you a politically minded individual, who is passionate about GLAM (Gallery, Library, Archive & Museum) services? We’re looking for you who would be happy to speak on our behalf to neighbours and others.
Museum Research Assistant
Do you enjoy helping others with research and looking for new information? Help others by exploring our archives and library collections and creating self-directed aids for researchers.
Outreach Volunteer
Do you enjoy letting others know about the great things BMPL is doing? We’re looking for someone to come and help us at Outreach Events. You’ll help with set-up and let others know what’s happening at BMPL.
Program Prep Volunteer
Help our Library Specialists get ready for programs. This can be helping make photocopies, or getting craft supplies ready. It could even be as fun as test driving some of the STEAM activities!
TAG
Just for Teens! Teen Advisory Group (TAG) is a great way to connect with other teens, provide feedback on BMPL programs and services, and just have a great time! Gain Community Involvement Hours each time you join.
Workshop Presenter
Do you have a skill or talent you’d like to share with others? Are you an expert or professional and you’d like to offer tips or tricks? If you have an idea or information that you’d like to share with others, we’d like to help you do that. You can volunteer to be a presenter and we’ll work with you and your idea!
