Opening to the Mystery is a solo stage presentation by Collingwood author Jake McArthur, based on his book of the same name. Through spoken word, poetry, music, and reflection, McArthur shares a series of spiritual experiences connected to his late daughter, Erica, who died in a car accident at the age of 23.

Rather than offering answers or certainty, the performance invites curiosity and quiet reflection. It explores grief, connection, and the comfort found in life’s unanswered questions. The evening includes original writing and music from Violet Roseman, with moments of meditation woven throughout.

The performance takes place on Thursday, February 26th at the L.E. Shore Library.
Admission is free and all ages are welcome. Copies of the book will be available for purchase at the event.
