Have you ever looked up at the night sky and wondered where all the stars have gone? Light pollution is growing every year, affecting our night skies, wildlife, and even our daily lives.
Join local astronomer Chris Vaughan—the Geo Astro Guy and a Royal Astronomical Society of Canada (RASC) member—for a fun, all-ages talk about light pollution and how smarter lighting can help protect the night while keeping us safe. Learn simple things you can do at home and in your community to make a difference.
Weather permitting, we’ll head outdoors to view Jupiter and the Orion Nebula through a telescope, so dress warmly.
In-person program. Registration required. All ages welcome. Free program.
