Author Talk with Callie O’Reilly

-

Join author Callie O’Reilly for an evening of conversation, reading and reflection surrounding her debut memoir, Let Me Down: Reflections on Abuse and Love.

In Let Me Down, O’Reilly shares her deeply personal experience of an abusive relationship while she was a university student in Toronto. The memoir explores the nuance and complexity of abusive relationships and challenges common misconceptions about what abuse can look like. It opens up important conversations around shame, trauma, consent and the ways women can be left without spaces to talk openly about their experiences. RSVP below.

Callie Rae O’Reilly was born and raised in Toronto. By day, she is co-founder of the Apostrophe Podcast Company, which houses some of Canada’s most recognizable podcasts and radio shows, including Under the Influence with Terry O’Reilly and We Regret To Inform You. Let Me Down is her first book.

The evening will include an author talk and reading, followed by an opportunity for discussion and conversation. Jessica's Book Nook will be on-site to sell books. Please register, drop-ins also welcome.

Content note: This event and book explore themes of domestic abuse, trauma, and consent.
