The Gallery at L.E. Shore is thrilled to be hosting the work of Willi Wildman, the late artist and instructor. Join us this Saturday, April 29, between 2-4pm for the opening reception of She Loved the Bay – The Life & Art of Willi Wildman - it will be a wonderful time to remember Willi, exchange stories and enjoy a beautiful and diverse collection of her work.

Willi was a prolific landscape painter and a popular art instructor who lived in the Southern Georgian Bay region from the early 1980s until her death March 2022.

The exhibition includes dozens of Wildman's paintings from various private collections. Willi’s works are informed by and brilliantly capture the quintessential character and moods of the natural terrain, expansive skies and mercurial waters of Georgian Bay.

The exhibit closes May 31.

ACC Presents: Orchid Quest

On Thursday, May 25 at 7pm it is all about the Orchids!

Did you know that Orchids Bruce & Grey is a Canadian bestseller?  Out of print, the Owen Sound Field Naturalists (OSFN) planned to revise and reprint the guide (5th edition), and Willy Waterton and Audrey Armstrong volunteered to update the original analogue photos of the orchids with digital imagery. The new, fully illustrated edition has two full pages for each of the 49 species of Orchids found in Bruce and Grey counties.

Join Audrey and Willy for an engaging evening about their two-year orchid quest adventure and enjoy a fascinating overview of the many orchid species in Bruce and Grey! Copies of the revised Orchids Bruce & Grey will be available for purchase, with all proceeds going to OSFN.

2023 Arts Walk – Call for Participants!

The ACC is in the planning stages of an Arts Walk for Saturday, July 8th. This will run down the Cultural Corridor, from Downtown Bruce Street to Downtown Marsh Street. We are currently looking for businesses, restaurants, galleries, homes, and artists to participate in the 2.2km Arts Walk. Residences are needed to host an artist on their lawn. You can provide your own artist if you or a friend are artists, or we will pair you with an artist. Artists can also register for a spot on our walk.
