Beyond the Lens reveals that photography is far more than simply taking a picture. Featuring the work of nearly twenty photographers from the Meaford Photography Club, this exhibition demonstrates how distinct imaginations, interpretations and artistic visions emerge, even when working with similar equipment and techniques.

About the Artists
What started as a Meaford Public Library outreach program more than 10 years ago has evolved into lively group of 20 or more hobby photographers who meet once a month. Their skill level ranges from novice to more experienced. The group is founded on a passion for photography, mutual support and a willingness to share information, techniques and ideas.
Monthly meetings are scheduled for the second Tuesday of each month at the Meaford Public Library, 6-8 p.m. Members are invited to show samples of their work based on a monthly challenge - be it a subject matter, a technique or a concept. The meetings include an instructional session on a regular basis.
