EXHIBIT CLOSING: Nature in Motion
This exhibition closes June 30 at 2pm.
The Gallery at L.E. Shore is excited to host artists Diana Bick and Kim Etherington-Reid for our June 2026 exhibition.
These two artists’ distinct styles have been brought together by chance.
But what they are both addressing through their abstract and non-objective art is how the land - nature - is changing. It is in constant motion. Air, water, soil, biodiversity, are shifting by natural processes, but more importantly, by human influences. Their expression in art is physical, but also emotional, as seen in the mark making and textures of this exhibition’s works.
These interpretations are personal, but in sharing the artwork, the intent is that an appreciation of what is happening and how we might influence the outcome, becomes a topic of conversation and perhaps action. The artwork is intentionally subtle, but the message is not.

EXHIBIT OPENING: Joan Folinsbee Timmins – A Painter’s Life
The Gallery at L.E. Shore’s Arts and Culture Council (ACC) is honored to present an exhibition celebrating the work of the late artist, Joan Folinsbee Timmins.
The exhibition will explore works from a multi-decade career: abstract and realistic, large scale and small; landscapes, portraits, still-life, abstracts and figure drawings in many mediums - watercolour, acrylics, oils, pastels, pen and ink.
This is a peek into Joan’s life as an artist. It's a journey in time, place and creative growth; the roller coaster ride of a unique individual.
Please join us for the exhibition’s opening reception on Saturday, July 4, 2025, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at The Gallery at L.E. Shore. This free community event is an opportunity to interact with the exhibition and learn about an artist who spent almost every waking moment thinking about and creating beautiful, inspiring art that we can all enjoy.
Following the opening, the show runs all summer long, July 4-August 26.

EXHIBIT OPENING: Under Foot and Over Head
Launching in late August 2026, Tanya Zaryski and Jerome Evola bring a new exhibition to The Gallery at L.E. Shore!
Jerome and Tanya met through their backyard tree line after a hefty snowfall in the middle of a Covid winter. Jerome had recently moved from Toronto with his family to a Clarksburg house that looked onto Tanya’s back gardens. That initial talk was brief, but art was discussed. They discovered they were both painters and a connection was made.
This is their first two-person exhibition together, showcasing their newest works. Tanya is focused on the natural world, creating detailed environments as settings for her portraits. Her paintings are lush and precise, personally narrative and full of fairytale magic. Jerome takes the long view, looking up to the clouds, studying their formations and capturing them in soft colours and expressive brush strokes. His landscapes are often distant, familiar views, and charged with emotion.
Don’t miss the opportunity to meet these two artists at their grand opening on August 29, 2026, from 2:00-4:00pm. This is a free event to attend, and no registration is required.
The show runs August 29-September 30, 2026.

WORKSHOP: Intuitive Weaving | Dianne Kennedy Cruttenden
If the cost of participation is a barrier, subsidies for this workshop may be available. Please emailTheGallery@TheBlueMountains.ca to inquire.
Intuitive Tapestry Weaving moves beyond the rigid patterns and structures of traditional weaving to explore the freedom of letting your instincts guide your creation. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced weaver, this workshop encourages you to trust your intuition, while exploring a variety of techniques, textures and materials.
This is one of Dianne’s favourite workshops. There is always a joyful energy that is created as we play with all the colourful yarn and fibres and allow ourselves the freedom to explore weaving without restrictions. As we complete our weavings and reflect on the fun day we have had, we look around the classroom and see how each creative expression is unique and exciting.
