New Beginnings, featuring the Connections Fibre Artists, is a textile art exhibition inspired by pods and seeds as symbols of growth, resilience and renewal. Using layered fabrics, stitching, felt, dye and woven forms, artists explore the quiet power of beginnings: those moments when something new is waiting to emerge.
Pods and seeds hold life, memory and possibility. In this exhibition, they become metaphors for protection, transformation, healing and change. Some pieces suggest growth and unfolding; others evoke shelter, fragility, or regeneration after difficult experiences.
The exhibition invites reflection on personal, cultural, and environmental stories of beginning again, after loss, migration, change, or renewal, and reminds us that even the smallest seed carries the potential for transformation.

Connections Fibre Artists
Connections Fibre Artists is dedicated to the exploration of fibre - cloth, thread, paper and mixed media - as an art form. Established in 1999, members come from diverse creative backgrounds and are connected by this common thread. Artists work together to raise awareness about fibre art and to develop their talents by exchanging ideas and sharing new skills and techniques. Members teach, give lectures, exhibit independently and show internationally. Several are published. Membership is by invitation.
