- 2024 Action Plan Finalized: The Board finalized the 2024 Action Plan, which identifies annual goals and how the BMPL will continue to action its Strategic Plan
Organizational Excellence
- Policy Review Completed: The Board engaged in a lengthy review of all system policies, health and safety, and AODA policies.
- New Policies Introduced: The Board passed two new policies to identify and respond to incidents. The policies will help staff and the Board in balancing organizational and patron needs, while honouring commitments to respectful workplaces and the health and safety of all who use the Library
Community Hubs
- 2024 Arts & Crafts Walk Announcement: It was announced that the Arts & Crafts Walk will take place on Saturday, July 6 from 10 am-4pm. This outdoor experience celebrates the arts and culture scene of the Town of The Blue Mountains and surrounding areas
Empowering Services
- TBM Cultural Map Launched: In partnership with the TBM’s GIS Team and the Historical Society, the Museum officially launched the TBM Cultural Map. Museum Curator, Alessia Farris, has begun to host drop-in sessions to educate and empower the community to share their stories. Alessia will present about the project to the Town Council on June 11, 2024.
