Welcome to an 8-session professional development workshop series that explores the future of arts
presentation and live performance capture using the latest technologies available in film and
media production. These include Motion Capture, 3D Laser Scanning and Modelling, Animating
Art and Professional Video Editing with iPad Pro.
Designed for artists by artists, this workshop will help you apply newfound knowledge in your
projects, offer a broad overview of these technologies, and set a new standard in creative
excellence.
Only $5 investment per session, free for underrecognized artists
Limited to 6 total participants per session.
No media arts experience is necessary; only basic iPad and computer knowledge is required.
Week 1 - February 13, 2024 | 10am-1pm
INTRODUCTION TO PHOTOGRAMMETRY AND LiDAR LASER SCANNING
Photogrammetry and Augmented Reality with iPads
This session will explore the multi-angle camera capture with Polycam software to capture a 3D model and create an immersive augmented reality experience with iPads.
LiDAR Laser Scanning for 3D Space Modelling with iPad Pro
This session will explore the use of iPad Pro laser scanning to create LiDAR 3D spatial scans with Polycam software for immersive and animated experiences.

INTRODUCTION TO VIDEO EDITING ON iPADS
Mobile Video Editing with iPads.
This session will explore video editing using free Blackmagic DaVinci Resolve software on iPad Pro tablets.
Mobile Colour Grading and Visual Effects with iPads
This session will explore colour grading techniques using free Blackmagic DaVinci Resolve software on iPad Pro tablets.
Week 3 - February 27, 2024 | 10am-1pm
INTRODUCTION TO ANIMATION FOR ARTISTS
Animating Artwork with ProCreate
This session will explore the process of animating a 2D non-dimensional piece of art (photo or painting) using ProCreate software on iPad Pro tablets.
Week 4 - March 5, 2024 | 10am-1pm
INTRODUCTION TO MOTION CAPTURE WITH VIDEO FOR 3D ANIMATION
Motion Capture with Video with iPad Pro
This session will explore the use of video to capture motion capture data from a performance.
Motion Capture for Animation
This session will utilize 3D animation of movement with Deep Motion software to represent an
art performance as an animation.
