A book review by Ian Belov.
The twins Alex and Conner Bailey discover a portal in their grandmother's old fairy tale book, which takes them to a different world – a world of fairy tales. But, almost immediately, they face a problem – they cannot leave that magical world. However, a new friend of theirs tells them about a wishing well that would grant them any wish. And so the twins set out all across the world to collect magical artifacts for a spell that lets them make a wish. Along the way they fight epic battles, rescue themselves, discover crazy secrets, make new friends, and so much more.
This book has heaps of action, humour, and adventure that fit together perfectly in this epic fantasy adventure. And in this book you will meet familiar characters from fairy tales, but in new, fun and surprising roles, such as the little red riding hood, who become a queen of her own kingdom!
As soon as I read the first book I wanted the next books, because of the way it was written, and because I wanted to know what happened next.
This is the first book in a series, and I highly recommend reading the following books after you read this one. The Bailey twins are 12 years old in the first book, and they grow older as the series continues, and at the end they are 15 years old.
I highly recommend this book, and the whole series, to any one who enjoys a good fantasy fiction chapter book. This is one of those books that was very hard for me to put down! It is an immediate 5 stars, no hesitation.
This book is perfect for anyone who enjoys a good fantasy chapter book packed with action, humour, and lots of adventure.
