We’re bringing Kimber Valley Farms to the L.E. Shore Library! Drop in for a hands-on, family-friendly experience all about Icelandic “Viking” sheep and their amazing wool. Meet the sheep (through photos and stories), feel a freshly shorn fleece, and learn how wool goes from pasture to finished products.
Discover why wool is a natural, sustainable alternative to synthetic fabrics, watch simple demonstrations of carding and felting, and try a small felting activity to make something to take home. You’ll also see samples of finished wool items and learn more about life on the farm and upcoming events. A fun and cozy way to connect with local agriculture, right here in our community.
All-ages.
