Death Café Book Club

-

Join us for a Death Cafe Book Club Foundation Session with death doula and multidimensional being, Bryonie Wise, who will share a map into the next world (aka the book list and a loose sketch of both the format and intention of these sessions).

An offshoot of the beloved Death Cafe with Be, Death Cafe Book Club is an invitation to expand the imagination in relation to how we hold the tender truths of death and dying, as well as nourish a growing body of grief language through the transformational portal of reading.

A combination of illuminated conversation and creative exploration in connection with each book, these sessions offer a safe space to expand our minds and hearts towards the future that is most definitely heading in our direction. The poetry of words is a lifeline in this experience of being human.

Come as you are with a notebook, a pen (or a selection of writing utensils) and a pocket of curiosity.

Limited Spaces. Please register below.

EXHIBIT CLOSING: The Nature of Seeing

-

This exhibition closes June 3 at 2pm.

The Gallery is pleased to present The Nature of Seeing, a new exhibition featuring photography and mixed-media works, for the month of May 2026.

The show brings two artists together - Eden Watt and Mikael Sandblom - whose work engages with the landscape in distinct yet complementary ways. One observes and records the visible world, the play of light, water, and terrain, while the other explores the act of perception itself, how vision constructs and transforms what is seen. Together, their works invite viewers to reflect on the space between the outer world and the inner experience of seeing it, where observation becomes awareness.

Death Café: A Group Discussion About Death

-

Death Café: A Group Discussion About Death.

Join us for an open and relaxed discussion about death and dying, as we shift the conversation from one of fear and avoidance to that of familiarity, comfort, and consciousness.

Led by Be McCarthy. Be is a death doula - walking with people in the final months of their sacred dying journey. They honour the beliefs, priorities, and needs of all. Though their support is explicitly non-denominational , they can integrate aspects of Tibetan Buddhism should a person have interest or curiosity.

This is a discussion group rather than a grief support group, with no intention of leading participants to any conclusion, product, or course of action. Please note time and date are different than previous meetings. Refreshments will be served. Limited space. Please register below.
