This October duo is an exciting pairing as they will challenge you to intersect with their divergent collections. Curated to play off each other, you will experience divergence between organic and urban, fantasy and life, science and nature.
Tobermory Fishermen to Mongolian Eagle Hunters
On Thursday, October 12 at 7pm, join the award-winning artist and writer Allen Smutylo for a one-hour show and tell of some of the many places, cultures and themes that have acted as his creative muse. His talk will also explain the evolution, over the last half-century, of his approach with regard to the various mediums he has used.
The presentation will be followed by a Q & A. As well, signed copies of his books will be available.
The Art of Creative Gift Wrapping
How would you like to present a gift that is absolutely breathtaking – even before it is opened! The presentation of a gift is how you take it from “really nice” to “fabulously amazing”.
On Saturday, October 14 at 1pm, join professional illustrator Cathy Lane and learn how to use different materials and colours to make giftwraps that make a statement! Applicable for Christmas, birthdays, anniversaries, teachers’ gifts and more.
Supplies will be provided, but we encourage you to bring any materials that you would like to incorporate into your project during this workshop!
