Exhibit Reception: Where We Live

Saturday, January 6 | 2-4pm | Drop In

Artists Karen Bowen, Wanda Haayen, and Judy Scopes are pleased to share a collection of their artwork in a tri-artist exhibit, Where We Live.

These established artists paint places that are special to them – Canadian scenes from coast to coast which evoke the beauty and drama of our countryside and shorelines. All three spend time exploring Grey/Bruce and Simcoe Counties, honouring old barns, heritage towns, hillside farms, and the waters of Georgian Bay and its headwater rivers. In a range of styles from realism to impressionism, Judy, Karen, and Wanda paint in oils or acrylics to capture the light and ambience of “where they live”.

Meet the artists at their open reception this Saturday, January 6! Drop in between 2-4pm at The Gallery to enjoy the open bar, refreshments, and gorgeous art.

Annually, The Gallery hosts a colour-themed Salon Show in February. Artists are invited to submit their work and the space is filled, floor to ceiling and everywhere in between, with art! This year, we are celebrating the vibrant colour of turquoise.

No professional experience is required to participate in this  exhibition. The show show highlights the diverse talent within our community and provides all artists the opportunity to showcase their creations.
