Happy February! Check out what’s happening this month at The Gallery at L.E. Shore.

Celebrate the Colour Magenta
Feb. 1 | 2-4pm | Drop In
Featuring roughly 200 magenta pieces from dozens of local artists, this is an immersive artistic experience where magenta-themed artwork is displayed in the “salon style”. This term originates from 1600s Paris, describing an installation where each piece is arranged in close proximity to its neighbours, completely covering walls from floor to ceiling.
No invitation is required to attend the opening festivities on February 1. Immerse yourself in a landscape of magenta, enjoy refreshments, and mingle with our talented artists.
The exhibition will be open to the public from February 1-26.

The ACC is made up of enthusiastic volunteers who curate experiences at (primarily) The Gallery at L.E. Shore. These dedicated individuals are the driving force behind our monthly art exhibits, Gallery talks, workshops, and the Arts Walk in 2023 and 2024.

Paint with the Blue Mountains School of Landscape Painting
2025 marks the 43rd season of the Blue Mountains School of Landscape Painting’s (BMSLP) spring painting workshops! This rare opportunity allows students to paint at beautiful, often historic sites, made available by local property owners.
The BMSLP is a not-for-profit organization established in 1980 with the goals “to encourage and foster awareness, interest and talent in the art of landscape painting in the Blue Mountain area”. What began as a provision of teachers for local artists has evolved into a respected art school that has enabled thousands of students to explore, learn, and paint in the stunning landscape of South Georgian Bay.
Classes are offered in various mediums and are suitable for students of all skill levels. The 2025 line-up of exceptional teachers includes Sam Paonessa, John David Anderson, Harvey Walker, Brian Buckrell and Andrew Sookrah.
