April 11: ”A Closer Look” Art Reception
Exhibit Opening

Step away from the panoramic and take a closer look at the familiar in a new exhibition by Bonnie Hastings and Wanda Haayen. From the bold, intricate details of a flower petal to a garden caught in late afternoon light, their work reflects the quiet beauty of small moments.
The show opens April 4, with the reception occurring April 11 from 2-4pm. Come on out for an afternoon of art!

Open Call: Celebrating Trees
Submission Deadline: April 1-9, 2026
In celebration of Earth Day, submit a poem, short story, photo or art piece about your favorite tree. Submissions will be part of a public display in the library from April 14-28. All ages welcome!
Submissions may be dropped off at the library’s front desk between April 1-9.

Open Call: Art Supplies Sale
Registration Deadline: April 9, 2026
Are you looking for ways to reduce your gently used arts and crafts supplies collection? We have just the thing for you!
Join The Gallery’s first ever Art Supplies Sale, a garage-sale-style market taking place on the lawns of the L.E. Shore Library on Saturday, May 23, 2026, from 11:00am-3:00pm.

Open Call: L.E. Shore Gallery Artist of the Year
Application Deadline: April 28, 2026
Last call! Artists are invited to apply for a spot in The Gallery’s upcoming art competition loosely inspired by the hit UK TV show, Landscape Artist of the Year. Held on the grounds of the L.E. Shore Library, 20 artists will have four hours to complete one painting, competing for the title of L.E. Shore Artist of the Year.
If you’re looking to break out of an artistic slump, challenge yourself artistically or try something new, please consider applying. All experience levels are welcome. Come on out for some fun!
The event will take place all day on Saturday, June 13.

Open Call: 2026 Arts Walk
The Clarksburg Village Association (CVA) has opened registration for the 2026 Arts Walk! Happening July 18 from 11am-4pm, the Arts Walk is a 2km route connecting Clarksburg to Thornbury with artsy stops along the way. If you are an artist, musician or property owner, please consider joining this fantastic annual event.
