Discover “Garden Stories” – A Stunning New Art Exhibit at The Gallery at L.E. Shore
The Blue Mountains Public Library’s Arts and Culture Council (ACC) invites you to experience Garden Stories, a captivating new exhibit by artists Michael Black and Victoria Huntley.
Join us for the grand opening on Saturday, March 1 between 2:00-4:00 pm. At 2:00 pm Michael and Victoria will share a behind-the-scenes look at their work and the inspiration behind the exhibit.
Then, from 2:30-4:00pm, enjoy a relaxed wine and mingle with complimentary refreshments.
This stunning exhibit showcases Michael Black’s bold abstract paintings with Victoria Huntley’s vibrant glasswork, exploring gardens not just as places of beauty but as powerful symbols of climate change, history, and culture.
Free admission – all are welcome!
About the Artists
Abstract artist Michael Black graduated from the Ontario College of Art (now OCADU), in 1984 and holds a Doctorate in Education from the University of Toronto (2003). For 30 years, he worked in education. Michael has shown his work in Toronto, Charlottetown, Port Perry, Creemore, Thornhill, Port Hope, Cobourg, Ottawa, Peterborough, Thornbury, Meaford and Sutton West.
Victoria Huntley is a multi-disciplinary artist, finding inspiration in both canvas and glass. Her
work has been featured at the Loft Gallery in Thornbury, The Art Bank Collective (former) in Clarksburg, the
Blue Mountain Foundation for the Arts in Collingwood and at Donna Child Fine Art Gallery in
Toronto.
