Step back in time with Ken Haigh, the first CEO of the L.E. Shore Memorial Library, as he recounts the origins of BMPL and the grassroots movement that brought a new public library to life in 1995.

A historical presentation by Ken Haigh Reflections on the library’s early days and its evolution over three decades Light refreshments and community mingling

Writing as Craft

Join a small group of writers who gather to explore the craft of writing through exercises, skill-building, and peer feedback. First meeting will be Tuesday July 29th but will then be the 2nd Tuesday of each month.

Whether you’re polishing old work or starting something new, this is a supportive space for growth, connection, and creativity.

Road to Publishing

This group is now FULL. Please email libraryprograms@thebluemountains.ca to be added to the wait list.

A focused group for writers working toward publication. Get support to start, finish, or get “unstuck” on your manuscript. Sessions include critique of works-in-progress and are ideal for writers looking for structure, feedback, and momentum. Meets the 3rd Wednesday of the month at L.E. Shore Library.

Led by published author Paul Harrietha.
