The Arts and Culture Council (ACC) for The Gallery at L.E. Shore is pleased to announce the launch of its open salon show, Celebrating the Colours Black and White.
Every year the ACC hosts an open show centered around a colour theme, and any artist may submit to hang in The Gallery. The 2023 Salon Show opened Saturday, February 4th and runs through Wednesday, March 1st with a theme of Celebrating the Colours Black & White. Don’t miss out on this visual experience where our Gallery space is filled, wall to ceiling and everywhere in between, with black and white themed art!
This exhibit is available in person at The Gallery at L.E. Shore, with a selection of exhibit shots featured on our Art Exhibit page.

ACC Presents: Things that Used to Matter -The Author Talk
On Tuesday, February 21, meet the contributors to Things That Used to Matter, the latest book published by The Ginger Press.
Anthologist Joan Beecroft has collected essays from 32 local writers which explore their feelings about what used to be important, and no longer is. Particularly impacted by the pandemic, the things documented include everything from not wearing makeup and jewellery during the mask-up, to life challenges such as losing weight, and leaving a spouse.
In her foreword to "Things That Used to Matter", Janet Glasspool writes: “This is a book of powerful resilience and brave changes in direction. In reflecting on what doesn’t matter, the writers come to deep understandings of who they are and what it means to exist. Joan Beecroft has collected stories that connect people and build understanding. In identifying things that no longer matter, this writing reveals what matters most.”
Join us at 7pm in the L.E. Shore Gallery for this author talk, where several contributors of "Things That Used to Matter" will be present. Copies of the book ($24.95) will be available for purchase. You can also purchase a copy direct from Ginger Press.
