Join us after school for an hour of reflection, solidarity, and creativity as we prepare for Orange Shirt Day. Together, we’ll make orange scrunchies—a simple but powerful way to honour the story of Phyllis Webstad and the many Indigenous children impacted by residential schools.
Orange symbolizes truth, healing, and remembrance. As we craft, we’ll take time to reflect on the meaning behind Orange Shirt Day and what it means to listen, learn, and stand together. You can even write your own special message of support or reflection on your scrunchie—something meaningful to you.
Make one to wear yourself or pass it on to someone else—and when you do, be sure to share why the orange scrunchie matters and why it’s so important.
