From an early age Leona loved being creative. Through her work she tries to capture the energy of the subject to let others see how she sees it and to experience it the way she does. Leona focusses mainly on landscapes, stating that there is an endless variety of outstanding beauty in Grey and Bruce Counties.
Yükselle’s work is an exploration of Realism in Fantasy; she has a strong passion to recreate nature in a nostalgic style on canvas. Organic shapes, flowing patterns created by nature's magic inspire her. Presently, Yükselle’s work is displayed at Southampton Art Centre as a full-time member. Yükselle’s art has been shown by Art Productions New York in The ArtExpo 2019. Her paintings were displayed at various art galleries and group shows in Ontario such as The Blue Mountains Town Hall, Loft Gallery in Thornbury, Santa Fe Gallery in Owen Sound, and many more. As a nature worshipper, Yükselle takes great pleasure in gardening, hiking, swimming and photography. She believes in nourishing the artistic soul with music and reading.
Bev is the proud founding member of the Saugeen Artist’s (community art group) which began in 2006. She is primarily a watercolour artist who enjoys teaching and plein aire painting while travelling abroad. Her work is based upon drawings from art journals, photos, observation and imagination. Her hope is that anyone who views her paintings can experience the excitement and vision that she experienced.
