App Takes You Inside The Museum

Do you miss standing in front of a masterpiece?  It's time to get your museum fix on Google Arts & Culture, featuring thousands of images from more than 1,200 museums globally.  You can visit Google Arts & Culture as a website on your laptop or desktop but the project is at its immersive best when engaged via the Google Arts & Culture app, which you can download for free on your smartphone or tablet.   Images are accompanied by explanatory text and can transport you visually into a piece of art. Some virtual exhibits not to be missed on the platform are: Van Gogh Museum, Amsterdam, Uffizi Galleries, Florence, Guggenheim Bilbao Museum, Smithsonian American Art Museum, Washington, Museo Frida Kahlo, Mexico City.

Mr. Gates Inspires On Netflix

Group of Seven Turns 100

The Group of Seven first showed one hundred years ago on May 7, 1920. Today, their art can be seen at the McMichael Canadian Art Collection. A live online experience will be available to mark the anniversary on Thursday, May 7th at 2:00pm. Registration is required through the McMichael Gallery.
