Outdoor Story Time - Family Literacy Day

Family Literacy Day takes place at the end of January to raise awareness about the importance of reading and engaging in other literacy-related activities as a family. 

This year's Family Literacy Day theme is Celebrating your Heritage.

Bundle up and join us on the front lawn for an Outdoor Story Time. We will read stories, sing, dance, paint snow, and have lots of fun! Ages 0-5, Free Program. Drop-in.

You can also pick up a Celebrating your Heritage Take and Make Kit. Each kit contains a bookmark, a mapping activity sheet, and an activity booklet (while supplies last).

Trivia Game Night - Math

Can math be fun?! With this week’s trivia it can!

Play against each other or play as a group in a weekly interactive online Trivia Game Night! Fill your house with laughter and glee as you answer questions and compete for the top-spot on our scoreboard. Not available on Friday Nights? Don't worry! You'll be able to play Trivia Game Night throughout the week.

Ultimate Science Saturday: Shaker Cup Slime Experiment

Get ready for some ooey gooey science fun! We are going to be creative and messy with some cool science experiments, such as Elephant Toothpaste, slime, and so much more!

Come, and explore different scientific concepts through hands-on activities. All supplies provided. Registration required. All ages welcome. Children under the age of 8, must be accompanied by an adult.

Story Time with the Tooth Fairy

Story Time in the Story Tower

Meet us in the Story Tower at L.E. Shore Library for special Story Time with Amelia the Tooth Fairy!

Amelia is a Registered Dental Hygienist with Thornbury Dental. Join her for a fun and interactive Story Time, all about teeth and the dentist! Kind of a “what to expect when you visit the dentist”. She will read a story about first visits and answer questions. 

We will also have cute little teeth games and  snacks like cheese strings and apples (and talk about good food choices).  Ages 0-5 and their caregivers. Siblings and older children welcome. Drop-in.

Wiggle Worms Wellness Program

Families are invited to connect to themselves intentionally and playfully. Participants will be guided through various asana poses, meditations, and reflections. For caregivers and children, ages 4-10. Please bring yoga mats.

Bracelet Workshop with Spirited Earth Designs

The Blue Mountains Public Library and Spirited Earth Designs are celebrating Love this February with a Beaded "Morse Code" Bracelet Workshop. Say " I Love You" in Morse code using quality beads. Keep the bracelet for yourself or give it to someone you love. From the beginning of the 19th century, Morse code has been used as a method of sending text messages by keying in a series of electronic pulses, usually represented as a short pulse (called a "dot") and a long pulse (a "dash").

Registration is required. $30.00 per person. Ages 10 and up.
