At 7 pm on Thursday the 1st of August, The Royal Astronomical Society of Canada (RASC) will be at the L.E.Shore Library for an exciting "What's New in Astronomy" presentation. Topics covered will include Exoplanet research, the latest black hole discoveries, and the Parker Solar Probe Mission, which is the first mission to study the sun up close and personal.
The evening will then culminate with a visit to the Carr Observatory (maps provided) for an evening of stargazing, with access to several high power telescopes. Please note that parking at the Observatory is limited and car-pooling is encouraged.
There is no cost for this all-ages event, however pre-registration is required and donations to RASC are greatly appreciated.
