Arts Walk 2023

The Gallery at L.E. Shore and the Arts and Culture Council (ACC) will be hosting an Arts Walk on July 8, 2023 from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm. This one-day event will include Galleries, businesses, restaurants, the L.E. Shore Library, parks/parkettes, and homes between the Downtown Thornbury and the Downtown Clarksburg districts.

Join Us as a Participant

We are looking for participants for the day. If you would like more information or would like to register, please send us an email. We can not do this event without you!

We need at least 20 houses along the 2.2km Bruce / Marsh Street who are interested in hosting an artist(s). This will include allowing them to set up a 10x10 tent on the front lawn or driveway, park one car on site, and provide washroom access to the artist, if required. This type of participation is imperative for visitors to want to make the walk, so help us by hosting an artist.
Are you an artist? Do you have a artist in your circle? Let us know and we will pair them at your location.

Galleries, Restaurants, and Businesses along the 2.2km walk are encouraged to participate in this day. Participation will be different for every location, based on space and interest. Open your doors to the public, host an artist or musician, put up easels outside the store, give a discount or special for the day. All of these types of activities will help us turn this Arts Walk into a cultural corridor and bring on a festival atmosphere.

We are going to be reaching out to artists who have exhibited in The Gallery at L.E. Shore in the month of April, but if you want to beat us to the punch or haven’t yet joined our lists, let us know you are interested in participating by filling out the form below.
Artists will be placed on Bruce St N/S between the Georgian Trail and Marsh St at the Clark intersection. Most artists will be placed at residences along the way, so let us know if you have a friend on the route that you would like to be your host. Otherwise we will be matching you with our participant locations.

This special event will be a permitted and include:

Numerous stops along the 2.2km Arts Walk
A shuttle to circle between Bob Gamble Park (Rail bridge at the Georgian Trail), the L.E. Shore Library branch, and Lions Park.
A google map with descriptions of artists and activities occurring along the Arts Walk.
2 hydration stations with trash bins and portable restrooms along the walk.

We know we are in an early stage of this program and there is much to discuss and organize, but together we can make this a fantastic day for our local communities and tourists alike. We look forward to hearing from you.
