March Break Circus at the L.E. Shore Library

We have a line-up of circus-themed events for the whole family.
Tuesday March 14th 10:30am - 11:30am
Special Event: The Puppet Tamer
Stunt Ventriloquist Tim The Puppet Tamer drops jaws and tickles funny bones with a cast of hilarious characters in a one-man show. Tickets are $2/person and are available at the L.E. Shore Memorial Library or Craigleith Heritage Depot.

Tightrope Walk Over The Niagara Gorge
Do you get dizzy at heights? Can you imagine being at a treacherous height with no safety features…and doing it for fun!?
About 120 years ago, two such young lads from Clarksburg, Ontario accomplished several terrifying feats by walking over The Niagara Gorge on a tightrope. One of them set a world record that has never been defeated.
All ages are encouraged to come out to hear local Grey-Bruce Boomer magazine writer, Linda Thorn, give her interactive presentation ‘Clarksburg’s Dynamic Duo’

Face Painting and Fortune Telling
Drop in to the L.E. Shore Memorial Library Gallery in the afternoon to have your face painted (for free!) and have your tarot cards read by Mystic Madeline.

Professor Jumble’s Case of Curious Objects and Skybound Spheres (aka Juggling Workshop)
Make your own juggling objects and learn how to use them. Free program. Please register online.

Movie Matinee: Vertical Belles
Experience the journey of aerial silks artistry. The Blue Mountains Public Library and Mountain Goat Film Company present the award winning documentary film VERTICAL BELLES. Local filmmaker, Tom Strnad, will be in attendance to present this film which follows the local aerial silks artists the Vertical Belles for two years as they grow from small local performances to major gala productions in Ontario. Part of our March Break 2017: Circus Theme lineup. An event for the whole family!

The L.E. Shore Library will be closed for repairs Tuesday Oct 4th until mid-November. We will have a temporary location, with a small collection, at Town Hall (32 Mill Street) in Council Chambers, opening Tuesday October 11th.

After School Kids Club at LE Shore Library

Show, Tell & Create: After School At The Depot

A monthly after-school program for kids aged 5-13 where they're encouraged to bring something they have or found related to the month's theme. Kids will share their objects with one another and do crafts together related to the theme of the month. September's theme will be ROCKS. This program will take place the first Wednesday of each month, 3:30pm - 5pm.
TD Summer Reading Club & Programs 2016

This summer, we will be hosting the TD Summer Reading Club and Children's Summer Programs throughout the week, every week! Join us and register for programs and the Summer Reading Club at our “Kick-Off” Party Thursday June 30th from 2-4pm in the L.E Shore Memorial Library Gallery. For ages 2-13 years. (Pizza will be supplied by New Orleans Pizza, so bring your appetite!)
