KAIROS Blanket Exercise

Friday June 21, 2019

Time: 6:00pm - 8:00pm

Location: The Gallery at L. E. Shore Library.

A hands-on activity in honour of National Indigenous Peoples Day.
Participants will gain an understanding of colonization and the impact it had on Indigenous peoples and the land.
Strong White Buffalo Woman, Elder - Ojibway of the Saugeen and a team of facilitators from Grace United Church will lead the exercise.  Explore the nation-to-nation relationship between Indigenous and non-Indigenous in Canada, understand how it has been damaged over the years, and learn how together we can work toward reconciliation.

All ages can participate, children accompanied by an adult.

Facilitators will provide blankets, and the Craigleith Heritage Depot will be providing the Pendleton Turtle Blanket donated by Charles Garrad.

Free event.  Please register by phone, email, in person or through our website.
