Strategic Plan
The Blue Mountains Public Library Board meets on the evening of the third Wednesday of each month at 7 pm in the Board Room of the L.E. Shore Public Library.

General Duties
- Ensure appropriate policies and bylaws governing the operation of the Library and the Board are in place. Review and revise these policies on a regular basis. .
- Participate in the development and implementation of the Board’s 4 year Strategic Plan.
- Review and approve Capital and Operating budgets as presented by the CEO.
- Advocate on behalf of the Library to the Province, the Municipality and the general community to develop and maintain on-going support for the Library and its mission.
Time Commitment
- One regular meeting per month with the exception of July. Meetings generally run for 3 hours and are held on the 3rd Wednesday.
- Throughout the year Board Members are asked to attend Library and community events as representatives of the Board.
Appointments
- Appointments to the Library Board are made by Municipal Council after the general election. All appointments are for a 4 year period.
